Tom Campbell our U9 Reds Manager was 1 of 20 local grassroots coaches invited by Nottingham Forest to spend the day with Oliver Glasner and his staff. With unprecedented access he was able to watch the first team put through their paces at the Nigel Doughty Academy and see the detail an elite level coach goes to. He then watched Oliver and his staff coach a group of 9-11 year old school children and see his approach to coaching is all about positivity and getting as many touches on the ball as possible.

Once finished on the pitch the coaches were invited in to the First Team Analysis Suite to have a Q&A session with Oliver Glasner and find out about his approach as a coach going all the way back to when he started as a coach with his sons U10’s grassroots team back in Austria. “There’s still time for us all to be a Premier League Manager!!”

An amazing experience from start to finish and Tom can’t wait to get on the training pitch with his boys to put in to practice some of the ideas he has gained from the day.
