International Football 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇩🇪

Since 1984, Bingham has been twinned with Bavarian town Wallenfels in an aim to promote links between the two communities.  This close friendship has grown over the years, with the first football match taking place in 2001, and many matches being played in both England and Germany since.

This week, a team made up of existing and former Bingham Town FC players, as well as current coaches, headed out to Bavaria to play in two friendly matches.

Game one was against hosts, FC Wallenfels, which despite a galliant performance eneded in a 4-0 defeat.

Game 2 took place at local side FC Unter Rodach U18s, a combination of tired legs from the two games in two days, and their youthful side, culminated in a 12-2 loss.

This trip is more than just football, and the social aspects are just as important in creating friendships that will last a lifetime.

Please contact Steve McRobie if you, or your team, are interested in taking part in future trips.
